Despite concerns with toughness, the Boston Bruins should be getting your undivided attention.
This morning on Toucher & Hardy, Fred, Hardy, and Wallach discussed last night’s Bruins/Panthers game, which they believe is a huge win for Boston.
Pavel Zacha scored the winning goal with 2:21 left in the third period, helping the Boston Bruins come back to beat the Florida Panthers 4-3 at Amerant Bank Arena last night.
The goal happened when David Pastrnak’s pass bounced off Zacha’s skate and into the net. This followed Trent Frederic’s goal that tied the game 3-3 during a power play at 15:38.
Boston coach Jim Montgomery commented on the team’s performance, saying they showed great competitiveness and teamwork. Zacha, Pastrnak, and Charlie McAvoy each contributed a goal and an assist for Boston, putting them in first place in the Atlantic Division ahead of Florida.

However, they also noted that the Bruins seemed to struggle physically at times, especially early on when the Panthers scored quickly. Wallach mentioned that the Bruins didn’t seem to stand up physically, leading to a conversation about the need for someone on the team to step up and provide some toughness, particularly to support players like Lindholm.
Fred shared his concerns about players like Lindholm not holding their ground despite their size. They discussed who could take on the role of being more assertive on the ice to prevent the team from being dominated physically.
Even with the toughness concerns Fred believes the Boston Bruins deserve your undivided attention moving forward.

Toucher & Hardy: 2024 MARCH PLAINNESS - Who made the tournament?
During this morning’s Toucher & Hardy, Fred revealed the contenders in the highly anticipated tournament, March Plainness! Who will Hardy choose?
In the world of sports talk radio, unexpected debates can lead to epic events. This was exemplified when a straightforward question regarding preferences in women ignited Toucher & Hardy’s “March Plainness” tournament, captivating the attention of listeners.
It all began with a casual inquiry posed to Rob “Hardy” Poole during the highly popular, totally original Email segment. A listener asked Hardy to choose between two actresses from the popular TV show “Modern Family”: Sofia Vergara, known for her role as Gloria, and Julie Bowen, who portrays Claire Dunphy. To the surprise of his co-host Fred Toucher, Hardy opted for Julie Bowen over Sofia Vergara, noting a specific clip that’s ingrained in Hardy’s mind.
