Toucher & Rich: Is there a feud between Fred Toucher and ESPN’s Mike Greenberg?
Is there a feud brewing between 98.5 The Sports Hub’s very own Fred Toucher & ESPN personality and host of ‘Get Up and Greeny’, Mike Greenberg? Maybe, according to an article on Awful Announcing.
In the article, Fred’s supposed remarks on the highly-rated, Marconi award-winning Toucher & Rich radio program, while discussing Greenberg’s advice on scripting “teases” for keeping listeners engaged after commercials. Toucher criticized Greenberg’s advice, calling it “hacky” and “dumb.” Toucher also shared anecdotes that portrayed Greenberg negatively.
Toucher’s comments start around 29:30 in the Tuesday morning podcast. Greenberg, a notable ESPN personality, hosts shows like Get Up and Greeny, in addition to anchoring events like the NFL Draft and NBA Countdown. He criticized Greenberg’s advice and shared stories that painted Greenberg unfavorably, highlighting some of Fred’s quotes, including him calling Greenberg a “no-talent p***k.”

“He would come in on a show that he didn’t work on and ask me or the other interns to… print out this, as you said, massive stack of information that he would not refer to once during the show.”
“If you require to do a radio show a dossier of material you’re an idiot.”
“All you need is one person, assuming it’s the right person, to like what you do. And that’s Mike Greenberg’s career. Somebody at ESPN really likes him cause I don’t know anybody else who does.”
The article also highlights some of Fred’s challenges this year including health issues and personal matters.
Fred addressed the controversy during this morning’s show:

The definitive list of the best subs available at Market Basket
Who can resist the allure of lists? At 98.5 The Sports Hub, your ultimate destination for all things Boston sports – the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, and the New England Revolution – we take lists to a whole new level. But we don’t simply call them “lists”; instead, we refer to them by their proper name: “listicles.”
Now, what’s the true essence of a listicle, you might ask? A listicle is more than just a list; it’s an online article format that capitalizes on the power of lists. Combining the words “list” and “article,” this dynamic format is celebrated for its user-friendly structure, which has become a sensation across the digital realm.
Each listicle starts with an attention-grabbing title that introduces the topic. It’s followed by a carefully arranged list of points with numbers or bullets, diving into the subject. These points often come with short descriptions, explanations, or catchy titles and images. Listicles are like magic – they share info, tips, insights, and even entertainment in a short form. This format lets readers quickly navigate and focus on what they’re interested in. Whether it’s “Top 10 Menu Items at Castle Island” or “5 Tips for Being More Productive,” listicles cover lots of topics while being easy to read and understand.
If it weren’t for listicles, I wouldn’t be able to share with you the most anticipated listicle ever constructed on the World Wide Web: The definitive list of subs from Market Basket.
