Scott Zolak: I could still see Mac Jones being traded this offseason
On Wednesday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Zo admitted that he could still see Mac Jones getting traded this offseason.
Zo is back where he started this offseason…
Scott Zolak: We lived this 2 years ago. Like you remember when San Francisco made that big deal to get up to 3, and you know, suppose it was supposed to be for Mac (Jones) and it’s sort of a reshuffling of quarterbacks. We know Trevor Lawrence went, then it was Zach Wilson. And then, boom, the stunner was they went with Trey Lance. Now we’re sitting here at 15. What do you do? Do you trade up to 11? Justin Fields is sitting there. Do you want him? Nah, sit tight and Mac falls to you. So we’ve been through this where, you know, maybe you got your sights set on one guy and then all of a sudden it changes. And this is what could happen in two weeks on draft day. And (Mike) Florio is right to that sense. Like there could be trades, there could be reshuffling. You know, team like the Colts could say, well, we didn’t get our guy, but we gotta look elsewhere. Things can happen and change. We’re in a holding pattern.
Marc Bertrand: You believe this could still happen Zo, that Mac Jones could get traded?
Scott Zolak: Yeah, course.
Marc Bertrand: And you did start the off season by saying, it would not shocked you if Mac Jones was traded this offseason. You did say that going back about, what, six weeks now?
Scott Zolak: Yeah, I think the specific team was the Raiders.
