How to Make Your Own Ice Cream
I scream, you scream, we…ok, I know you’ve heard it a thousand times, right? But it’s true, who doesn’t like ice cream?!
Now you don’t even have to leave the house to enjoy your favorite frozen treat.
Just follow these simple steps and you’ll have a brain freeze headache in no time.
Step 1: Freeze your pan
Freeze an empty freezer safe bowl or pan. Glass works best, but you can really use anything except Stainless Steel.
Step 2: Gather your ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need: 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream; 2 cups Half-and-Half; 1 cup of sugar; and 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract.
In a large bowl, mix all of your ingredients. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved before freezing.
Step 3: Freeze!
Poor your mixture into your freezer safe bowl/pan, for about 25 minutes. Take a peak. Once the edges have started to freeze, you want to remove it and beat the mixture with a hand mixer. By doing this, you’ll help to break it up and keep it creamy. Do this, every 30 minutes or so, for about 5 hours or until it’s firmly frozen.
Step 4: Make a Sundae
Enjoy your delicious vanilla ice cream!
You can always upgrade your sweet treat by adding fruit and toppings, making it into ice cream cookie sandwiches or making a root beer float.
