The Red Sox have three representatives in the 2019 MLB All-Star Game, and one of them has the honor of starting the game. J.D. Martinez will bat fifth as the designated hitter for the American League to start the 90th midsummer classic at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Martinez was originally elected to the All-Star Game as a reserve, but found his way into the starting lineup after Rangers DH Hunter Pence had to pull out due to a groin injury. Pence’s injury also opened up a spot on the AL roster that went to Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts. Mookie Betts rounds out the Red Sox’ All-Star reps as a reserve.

Astros righty Justin Verlander will oppose Dodgers southpaw Hyun-Jin Ryu on the mound to start the All-Star Game, which airs on FOX starting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. Check below for the full starting lineups for both teams:
