Rob Gronkowski Fancies Himself A Shark Expert [VIDEO]
Rob Gronkowski is certainly an expert on playing tight end in the NFL. He’s also gotten pretty confident lately about his knowledge of sharks.
The Patriots tight end was asked about the dozens of confirmed shark sightings along the Massachusetts coast this summer during his Sunday press conference in Foxboro. He drew from his “extensive” experience working with sharks in his appearance on the program “Monster Tag” as part of the Discovery Channel’s annual “Shark Week” series.
“Yeah, I know, I saw them. I’m a shark expert,” Gronkowski deadpanned.

When asked if he’s thought about checking out the sharks in the Cape Cod area, Gronkowski added: “No, I mean, I heard there’s some great whites out there. I haven’t seen any great whites yet. They don’t know me yet. I only swam with tigers. So, maybe I’ll go say hi to my friends.”
Sharks have made plenty of headlines in New England this summer, as numerous sightings recently culminated in an attack at Longnook Beach in Truro, Mass. But the biting victim, 61-year-old William Lytton of Scarsdale, N.Y., is reportedly in fair condition at Tufts Medical Center.
