The Patriots appear to be relatively healthy for Week 17 vs. Dolphins

The New England Patriots appear to be as healthy as a team can be this time of year, as the final injury report ahead of Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Dolphins didn’t feature any ‘out’ or ‘doubtful’ talents. Instead, the Patriots will enter Week 17’s head-to-head with the Dolphins with eight players tagged with the ‘questionable’ label.
On the offensive side of the ball, Julian Edelman (knee/shoulder) and Marcus Cannon (ankle) are both questionable after what was a week of limited participations in practice. The injury report is nothing new to Edelman, who is already activating his playoff mindset, but it’s unlikely to imagine anything slowing Edelman, undoubtedly earning his ‘Lazarus’ nickname, down.
And on the other side of the ball, cornerbacks Jon Jones and Jason McCourty are both questionable with groin injuries, while Jamie Collins’ shoulder and Ja’Whaun Bentley’s knee ailments have earned them the same designation for Sunday’s contest. And though an illness knocked Shilique Calhoun out of practice on both Thursday and Friday, the Patriots are not ruling Calhoun out of Sunday’s game, as he is also considered questionable entering Sunday.
Terrence Brooks, meanwhile, was a limited participant and added to Friday’s injury report with a groin injury (this New England secondary is absolutely loaded with groin injuries), but is also considered questionable.
Only one Dolphin, cornerback Jomal Wiltz, has been ruled out for Sunday’s contest.
With a win, the Patriots would lock themselves into the No. 2 seed in the AFC East (the Ravens locked up the No. 1 seed last weekend) and guarantee themselves a much-needed first-round bye for the 10th straight season.
