On their final injury report of the week on Friday, the New England Patriots ruled three players out for their Week 7 matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. However, more could come in the next couple of days.
Offensive lineman Riley Reiff (knee), defensive lineman Keion White (concussion) and linebacker Josh Uche (knee/ankle) have all been ruled out for Sunday. In addition, 16 players are listed as questionable.

Reiff was projected as the team’s starting right tackle in training camp, but has played in just one game this year after starting the season on IR. Vederian Lowe has mostly filled in at the position, but the Patriots could also elevate last year’s starter – Conor McDermott – who they signed to the practice squad earlier this week.
Uche and White will be missed as the Patriots’ pass rush continues to take hits. The team is already without Matthew Judon, who is on IR. Uche in particular has been effective against the Bills in the previous few matchups. With the position thin, this could be the week the Patriots activate Trey Flowers from PUP.
As for the group that is questionable, that list includes offensive tackle Trent Brown (chest), tight end Hunter Henry (ankle), and cornerback Jonathan Jones (ankle). All three of those starters missed practice earlier in the week.
The Patriots also removed one player from the injury report on Friday. Safety Jabrill Peppers (knee) is no longer listed.
Buffalo removed eight players from the injury report, including quarterback Josh Allen (right shoulder). The Bills did rule out two players including defensive tackle Ed Oliver (toe), who will be a big loss to a defensive front that has been one of the worst against the run this season.

Another shot at Buffalo: Patriots vs. Bills What To Watch For
Last week was a better one for the New England Patriots after two blowouts, but they still came up short of their ultimate goal in a 21-17 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. With their losing streak now sitting at three games the team returns home and will try to get back in the win column in a divisional matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Beating the Bills hasn’t been an easy task for the Patriots since Tom Brady’s departure. Since 2020 Buffalo is 6-1 against the Patriots (including the 2021 playoff game), with New England’s lone win coming in a massive wind storm in Buffalo in 2001.

In particular, the Patriots have struggled to slow down Buffalo’s offense. In the seven meetings since 2020 the Bills are averaging 30.1 points per game, while the Patriots are at just 16.4 points per game in those matchups.
Timely mistakes have also compounded the Patriots issues against Buffalo in recent years. Turnovers, dropped interceptions, and not playing through the whistle have all happened at key moments in recent games.
Earlier this week, offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien talked about how thin the margin for error is for teams to win in the NFL. It’s a margin the Patriots haven’t been operating within in recent weeks, as well as against Buffalo in recent years.
Where do the Patriots need to be better to ensure a close game with the Bills at Gillette Stadium this Sunday. Let’s get into that and more in this week’s What To Watch For…
