The New England Patriots are shuffling their practice squad heading into Week 7. On Wednesday the team made four practice squad transactions, adding two players.
One of the new players is running back Patrick Taylor, according to Mark Daniels of MassLive. Taylor is a bigger back at 6-foot-2, 217 pounds.

Taylor, 25, entered the league as a UDFA with the Green Bay Packers in 2020 out of Memphis, and spent the last three years between their active roster and practice squad before being released earlier this month. In 27 games in that time he ran for 151 yards and a touchdown on 44 carries. This summer, Taylor was with the Packers when they had joint practices with the Patriots.
The other new player is defensive end William Bradley-King, per Daniels. A seventh-round pick out of Baylor in 2021, Bradley-King appeared in two games in two years with Washington recording seven tackles and half a sack. The 25-year-old began this year on their practice squad, but was released last week.
In order to make the two moves official the Patriots will need to open up two practice squad spots. While nothing has been reported about those corresponding moves, practice squad wide receiver TJ Luther and defensive lineman Manny Jones were both not on the field for Wednesday’s practice.

Ultimately, a slow start and sloppy finish did the Patriots in, even as they did things to keep the game competitive in the middle. Let’s start at the top and work our way through the game in this week’s takeaways…
