The Celtics had one of the best regular season in team history. The fourth best all-time when it comes to wins in a season with 64. The Celtics win total was 55.5 entering the season and blew past that for bettors.

As for the rest of the league 16 teams went under the posted total, 14 teams went over the posted total. The top five teams that overachieved their total the most are: Per Betonline

Oklahoma City: +12½

Minnesota:        +11½

Houston:           +9½

Orlando:           +9½

  Indiana::            +8½

The top five teams that currently underachieved their total the most are:

Memphis:          -18½

Detroit:             -13½

Toronto:            -11½

Charlotte:          -10½

Washington:      -9½

The Lakers were the closest to their total. They were 47½ and finished the season with 47 wins.

It’s really interesting to see how many of the stat numbers were so close. It’s interesting to note that the Celtics were so deep that they went under in most statistical categories.
