Toucher & Hardy: Mac Jones allegedly asks for free country club membership, gets denied
Rob “Hardy” Poole says that Mac Jones allegedly wanted to become a member of a country club but didn’t want to go through the hoops of joining, like the paying part.
During this morning’s Toucher & Hardy radio program, Rob “Hardy” Poole brought up the fact that teams often produce “getting to know you” videos. Mac Jones being a local figure in Jacksonville and now playing for the Jaguars in the NFL, he was featured in one of these videos recently. During his video, Jones mentioned his hobbies, including golfing, fishing, and beach activities. You can watch the video below.

Fred Toucher: But one thing we know for sure is Mac Jones will not be the quarterback of your New England Patriots, as he has been traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Rob “Hardy” Poole: Most teams will do a “getting to know you” videos. Mac Jones is different; he’s a hometown guy in Jacksonville, and he was a starter in the NFL. This is his softball “getting to know you” presentation courtesy of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
MAC JONES (AUDIO): What’s up, everybody. It’s Mac Jones, and this is my “get to know” video. I don’t really have too many hobbies, but I mean, I golf a little bit, I like to go fishing, and I like to be on the beach.
Rob “Hardy” Poole: Have I told you about the time he showed up at the range of a private course? The first time or two, someone thought he was a guest, but then he just started showing up and hitting balls on the range. Somebody went out and said, “Hey, Mister Jones, are you playing here today?” He replied, “No, I’m just practicing.” The staff reminded him it’s a private club and that people pay a lot to join. Jones then expressed interest in joining without going through the usual process of applying and paying. He seemed surprised that he couldn’t just be let in without following the rules.
Fred Toucher: All right. Well, good to know. He’s a bit of a prick.
