Toucher & Hardy: Leftover Stack Stack featuring Joker 2, Coca Cola Spiced & Jon Stewart
Hi… This is Hardy.
Each Toucher and Hardy show ends with “The Stack.” Well, technically, it ends with the crossover break with Beetle and/or Zo, but that’s kind of hit or miss. Blame them for being busy prepping their show, or blame us for running late.
Anyway, “The Stack” is our final planned segment each morning. It’s billed as stuff that we didn’t get to, and sometimes it’s stuff that would never make it on the air in the first place. They either would take too long to explain, or there’s a visual element that wouldn’t translate, blah blah blah.
So now, it’s my pleasure to bring you the Leftover Stack Stack. Starting with:
JOKER 2
New look at ‘JOKER 2’.

Director Todd Phillips posted more photos on Instagram on Wednesday featuring Joaquin Phoenix in his Joker getup, alongside Lady Gaga, who will play Harley Quinn. And if you’ve been blissfully unaware, allow me to ruin your day by telling you it’s going to be a musical.
I can only hope they’re messing with us, and that it’ll just be a movie-movie. But with Joaquin’s previous forays into music – his fake(?) attempt at being a rapper and portrayal of Johnny Cash in “Walk the Line” – I think it’s real. And nothing makes me more anxious than the thought of sitting through a musical.
COCA-COLA SPICED

On Wednesday, the Coke people in Atlanta unveiled what they called their first new permanent offering in the soda portfolio, Coca-Cola Spiced. I’ll believe it when I see it on the shelves for more than 3 months. I mean, they put Cinnamon Coke on the shelves for a while, and just when I grew to love it (and the way it paired with my cinnamon nicotine lozenges) they stopped making it and it hasn’t been seen since.
JON STEWART

He’s back as the Monday host of the Daily Show. He goofed on both Biden and Trump in the one clip I saw online, which is how I expect I’ll consume all his appearances. 11 pm? Not for this guy. Hell, I wasn’t up that late before I started doing the morning show, and I’m starting to think I’ll never be up that late again in my life.
Nick Gemelli presents: The best (visual) moments from Toucher & Hardy
If you’re reading this article, I’m sure you know who I am and the show I work for. If you don’t, let me explain.
My name is Nick Gemelli, and I’m a producer for Toucher & Hardy on 98.5 The Sports Hub. This marks my 8th year as a member of 98.5 The Sports Hub, and to say it’s been a blast would be an understatement. The experience of working at the station and the opportunities it has provided have been amazing. I truly love working here.
One of these opportunities presented itself recently in September when BEASLEY MEDIA, the parent company of 98.5 The Sports Hub, made a huge investment in video streaming and production. At that point, the show was streaming on Twitch using tiny webcams, and it looked like complete garbage.
Fast forward to now: The quality of the video stream has greatly improved, and viewership has been consistently growing. It also gave us at The Sports Hub the opportunity to dive headfirst into the world of vertical videos on TikTok and Instagram.
I took this opportunity and ran with it. To give you an idea of how the show works, the easiest way to explain it is this: Dan O’Brien calls the shots, runs the board, books the guests, etc. Lockhart handles all the sound played on the show, creating 30-second promos, recording commercials, etc. My role encompasses anything video-related (YouTube/reels/TikTok, etc.), managing the social media accounts, podcasting the show, writing articles, street audio, and whatever else I may have forgotten.
To be totally honest, I think I’ve carved out a pretty good role for myself at the station, and I’m always looking out for more things to do.
So, why am I explaining all of this? Well, for one, I gotta hit that quota. But also, after a brief conversation with my boss today, it inspired me to highlight some of the videos you may have missed on the Toucher & Hardy Instagram account from the last couple of months.
And with that, enjoy!
