Bill Belichick’s next landing spot? Mike Giardi hints at two potential teams
WATCH HERE:
During this morning’s Toucher & Rich, Mike Giardi was asked about Bill Belichick’s desire to continue coaching, the potential for his return, and concerns about his age. Fred expressed doubts about him returning, Rich believes he may join a different team. Giardi suggested Bill’s possible landing spots: Washington or even Chicago, who could have the first two overall picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. Overall, Fred speculates the NFL will intervene in any decisions regarding Bill Belichick going to Chicago.

“Bill Belichick still wants to coach. So I know there’s been like this debate on, you know, Chris Simms put out like I don’t think he’s that you know I honestly I think if it’s going to go bad, I want it to look like I wasn’t planning on coaching anymore. Yeah. I think I don’t think he’ll want to go out this way. I think you’ll want to coach. Like I said, I don’t think I don’t think you’d get much for him in a trade. But there are teams. Sure. I think the commanders would be a team. I think Chicago.” -Mike Giardi, Boston Sports Journal
Fred thinks that could be the dumbest move Chicago could make.
“Chicago can’t hire them. They’d have to the NFL would have to step in. You’re telling me the biggest superstar coming out of college, you’re going to say. The old defensive weirdo who ruined Mac Jones doesn’t. “
On the other hand, Rich builds on the theory.
“you know The O.C. is going to be? It’s going to be Josh McDaniels because he’ll be fired. So he’s going to bring Josh McDaniels with him. It’s a sell to the fanbase that will work. “

Greg Bedard: 10 questions from around the NFL after Week 6
Greg Bedard of BostonSportsJournal.com joined the Felger and Mazz program on Tuesday following the New England Patriots 21-17 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in Las Vegas. While on, Greg Bedard did his weekly “10 Questions” segment on the program following week 6 of the 2023 NFL season.
The 10 Questions
FOXBORO, MA – NOVEMBER 08: Ricky Williams #34 of the Miami Dolphins carries the ball in the second quarter against the New England Patriots on November 8, 2009 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images)
10. What’s the worst team you ever covered? Any year, any sport?
Greg Bedard: The 2004 Dolphins. The first team I covered as a beat writer. It started when I was at the urinal and found out mid-stream that Ricky Williams had retired and then it just got worse from there. Dave Wannstedt was fired after starting 1-8. Jim Bates was the was the interim coach. It was just a complete disaster. And where does this team rank? Well, I don’t know. I kind of want to see them get to 1-8 and then see what happens.
9. Should Tyreek Hill have been penalized for his backflip selfie the other day?
Greg Bedard: Hey, it’s fun. I understand. But the rule is no props. Like they have to enforce the rule or who knows what the hell these guys are going to bring out. I’m sorry. It’s the rule. Can’t do it.

8. When you watch the Los Angeles Chargers play football what do you think?
Greg Bedard: It’s like going back to my childhood and watching Dan Marino. Like his last ten years with an ineffective coach and bad roster around him.
