Harpoon and UFO are Getting Juicy with New Beers
Mass. Bay Brewing Company – the parent company of local favorites, Harpoon and UFO Beer — has announced two beers. In an effort to offer a sunshine state of mind all year long, Harpoon Juicer Hazy IPA and UFO Florida Citrus are now part of the Mass. Bay Brewing selections.
“Fruity, citrusy beers have always been popular in the summer months, providing a refreshing break from the heat and sun. However, what we found is that our consumers are looking for those beers year-round. That’s why we’re so excited to provide two new beers all year long that offer the juicy taste of summer,” said Dan Kenary, CEO and co-founder of Mass. Bay Brewing Company in a recent press release. “The Harpoon Juicer Hazy IPA and UFO Florida Citrus allowed us to really tap into our brewing expertise while providing what our consumers want. The Juicer Hazy IPA is brewed with a unique hopping process and the Florida Citrus includes real Florida oranges.”
Harpoon Juicer Hazy IPA – what’s on tap?
This beer is made using a brewing technique called “dip hopping.” The press release explains this when the hops are steeped before fermentation to amplify the aroma without adding harsh bitterness. Juicer Hazy IPA is a 7.2% ABV and can be found in both 6-pack and 12-pack can variations. It is also one of the four different beers in Harpoon’s Summer Vacation mix pack.
UFO Florida Citrus – what’s on tap?
Florida Citrus is made with real Florida oranges. It is described as a brew that “boasts a freshly peeled orange aroma with the right amount of sweet and juicy flavor to match.” UFO Florida Citrus has an ABV of 5.3%. It also can be found in both 6-pack and 12-pack can variations.
