Julian Edelman set for more testing on injured rib

Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman will undergo additional testing Monday after injuring his rib in Sunday’s win over the New York Jets.
Edelman left the game after catching a pass in the second quarter and did not return. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported after the game that x-rays did not reveal any broken ribs, and Mike Giardi of NFL Network followed up that report Monday by saying the team will now try to determine if Edelman hurt his rib cartilage on the play.
Told that Julian Edelman will have more tests today. Possible MRI to see if there is any damage to the rib cartilage. As @RapSheet reported yesterday, X-Rays were negative #Patriots

Edelman was a key component of the Patriots offense Sunday and the unit clearly took a hit after he was ruled out. He hauled in seven passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.
There have been no indications how much time, if any, Edelman could miss with this injury.
