Matt Patricia Couldn’t Be More Focused On The Eagles
Matt Patricia may be on his way to coaching the Detroit Lions next season. But this week he’s laser-focused on the Philadelphia Eagles, as he should be.
Donning a black Patriots leather jacket and sporting his trademark pencil in his right ear, Patricia sat back and enjoyed the scene at Super Bowl Opening Night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. He also fielded plenty of questions about his future as a head coach and other topics. But he expertly dodged question after question and kept it on the Eagles.
Anything that didn’t involve beards, pencils, or the Philadelphia Eagles reportedly got some variation of “All my focus is on the Eagles.”
Patricia’s exchange with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy pretty much sums it up. Portnoy asked Patricia about the controversy regarding his decision to wear a Barstool shirt featuring Roger Goodell with a clown nose. His response: “My thoughts are definitely on Philadelphia. It’s all about Philly. They have an extremely good offense and I’ve got a lot of issues that I have to prepare for.”

He’s keeping the focus on Philly, and fans have no choice but to love it. Patricia loves it too, based on his reactions.
