Massachusetts: New Bermuda-Based Airline Launched With Direct Boston Routes
BermudAir, a new Bermuda-based airline, announced last week they will be offering direct routes to and from Boston all year. The airline, which includes colorfully branded jets, is an all-aisle passenger experience. Their planes contain just 30 seats across 15 rows.
“BermudAir was created to provide frequent‚ well-timed and comfortable flights for business and premium leisure travelers between Bermuda and the East Coast of the U.S.,” they state.
Boston Service Begins Thursday
Starting August 31, the airline will have non-stop routes from Boston to Bermuda-based L.F. Wade International Airport. In fact, tickets are on sale now. The typical flight time is approximately two hours.
Boston News 25 shared the following quote from BermudAir’s Founder and CEO, Adam Scott, “We are excited to launch BermudAir as Bermuda’s first carrier, maintaining our commitment to start filling seasonal service gaps and establish the frequency of service to and from the island this fall. Our mission to elevate the travel experience for everyone and provide well-timed, traveler-centric, stress-free flights on these new routes is just the beginning. Establishing this year-round service is the first step in our journey to redefine the travel experience and we look forward to rolling out our phased introduction of BermudAir’s Aisle Class.”
Where Else Does BermudAir Fly?
At this time, BermudAir also offers direct flights from Bermuda to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Westchester, New York. All flights include Wi-Fi, a complimentary checked bag, snacks, and beverage service.
Cost
Roundtrip flights from Boston start at $199. The airline also offers upgraded ticket options aligned to Boston. The “classic” ticket allows two bags, 48-hour cancellation, and free seat changes for an additional $40. The “flex” is the highest level ticket at $289 and allows three bags with a full cancelation refund.
If you are wondering about flying with pets, BermudAir also allows that. “Small dogs and cats‚ with required documentation‚ will be permitted in the cabin in an approved carrier. The carrier must be no larger than a permitted carry-on bag and will be charged at $95 per flight ($190 per round-trip),” they explain.
