Patriots announce initial training camp dates and joint practices
The Patriots may have just left for their summer break last week, but training camp is right around the corner. On Tuesday, the team announced both the initial training camp dates as well as the dates for joint practices with the Carolina Panthers.
Players will report to Foxborough on Tuesday, July 26 then hold their first practice the next day and through Saturday, July 30. All four of those practices will be open to the public, with times still to be announced. More dates will be added once training camp gets closer.
After their preseason opener against the New York Giants on August 11, the Patriots will host the Carolina Panthers for two joins practices on Tuesday the 16th and Wednesday the 17th. Both of those days will be open to the public as well. The Patriots and Panthers will then play their Week 2 preseason game on Friday, August 19 at 7 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.
For the final week of the preseason, the Patriots will be on the road for joint practices with the Las Vegas Raiders, leading up to the preseason finale on Friday, August 26. Dates for those practices are yet to be announced.
