Patriots add safety to Thursday injury report, Rob Gronkowski still out
The Patriots injury report got a little bit longer on Thursday. Safety Kyle Dugger was added to the list following the day’s practice, and is apparently dealing with a hamstring issue.
Dugger joins the eight players listed on Wednesday. James White (hip) has not practiced this week, and is reportedly out for the season. Tackles Trent Brown (calf) and Isaiah Wynn (knee), defensive lineman Henry Anderson (ankle), linebackers Ja’Whaun Bentley (shoulder), Josh Uche (back), and Kyle Van Noy (groin), and kicker Nick Folk (left knee) were all limited for the second straight day.

Meanwhile in Tampa, tight end Rob Gronkowski (ribs) did not practice for a second straight day. While every injury situation is different, players who miss multiple practices during a week generally don’t play on Sundays. In addition to Gronkowski, running back Giovani Bernard (knee) and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) also missed practice for the second time this week.
The Buccaneers did make two changes to their injury list on Thursday. Wide receiver and return specialist Jaydon Mickens (abdomen) was upgraded to a ‘full’ participant after being limited yesterday, while defensive lineman Steve McLendon (not injury related) didn’t practice. McLendon was not listed on the injury report at all on Wednesday.
