The Jets ignored some pretty, pretty, pretttyyyyy good draft advice from Larry David

The New York Jets stink.
But they certainly can’t blame ‘Seinfeld’ co-creator and ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ star Larry David for their misfortunes.
In fact, David offered the Jets some drafting advice that undoubtedly would’ve had changed the franchise, as revealed during an appearance on The Michael Kay Show on Tuesday. Advice that the Jets (now regrettably) passed on.
“I did call Mike Maccagnan before the 2018 draft and I recommended that he draft Lamar Jackson,” David, an avid Jets fan (though he admits stopped watching midway through this past nightmarish season), said. “I have a witness.”

Witness or not, David recalls Maccagnan, who was fired from his post with the Jets in May 2019, not being overly sold on his recommendation.
“He kinda gave me the most condescending answer,” David recalled. “He laughed at me, but who can blame him? Nobody thought Jackson was going to be this good.”
The Ravens did, however, and cruised to the No. 1 seed in the AFC this past season by way of a 14-2 record, and with Jackson looking like a lock for the NFL MVP with a downright absurd season.
The New England Patriots, for one, are probably feeling pretty good that ‘LD’ was laughed off the phone.
Pretty, pretty, pretty, prettttttttay good.
