Gronkowski (ankle/back), Mason (calf) practice for Patriots in Wednesday walkthrough

Rob Gronkowski practiced for the Patriots on Wednesday in Foxborough, as did guard Shaq Mason. It was hard to tell full attendance as the Patriots held a pad-less walkthrough with no jerseys. More clarity will come with the Wednesday injury report.
Gronkowski has missed the last two games with ankle and back injuries, while Mason missed a game for the first time since 2016 when he sat against the Packers with a calf injury. Mason’s attendance at practice is certainly a good sign that he could be on track to return on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Running back Sony Michel was also present at practice, according to multiple eagle-eyed reporters. He’s also on track to return on Sunday as long as he doesn’t have any setbacks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
However, it remains to be seen how close Gronkowski really is to returning. With the bye week on the horizon, the Patriots may feel it’s best to sit Gronk one more game so he can end up with rest in four out of five weeks and, hopefully, get back to his usual self for Week 12 against the Jets.
