Tom Brady Already At Gillette Stadium Preparing For Titans
As is tradition, Tom Brady made it to work before anyone else. The Patriots quarterback arrived well ahead of the time Patriots players are expected to attend team meetings on Monday.
ESPN’s Patriots players are scheduled to be in for meetings later today, but one player already arrived at Gillette Stadium early this morning to get a jump on Titans preparations: Tom Brady.
The Patriots quarterback looks to continue an incredible streak against the Titans, as he and the Pats have won six straight against Tennessee (including playoffs). And in his last three games against them alone, Brady has posted a 134.7 passer rating, throwing 10 touchdowns and no interceptions.
Tom Brady: Titans Owner
Perhaps most famously, Brady absolutely demolished the Titans to the tune of 59-0 on Oct. 18, 2009 in a surprisingly snowy Gillette Stadium. He threw six touchdowns in that game, including five in the first half alone. His most recent performance came on Dec. 20, 2015 against current Titans head coach Mike Mularkey, and he had a 107.7 passer rating in the Patriots’ 33-16 win.
Clearly, Brady expects to rekindle that hot streak when he takes the field on Saturday. Not only is he already at Gillette getting ready for the game before anyone else, he also posted a quote to his Instagram page that should concern Titans fans a bit.
The Tone-Setter
It’s no shock that Brady arrived to Gillette before any of his teammates. No. 12 should be there setting the tone. But as someone with five Super Bowl rings like Tom Brady would prove, it’s certainly not just for show.
To be fair, however, Brady is hoping to reverse what was a below-average (on paper, anyway) end to the 2017 regular season. He posted an 81.6 passer rating with six touchdowns and five picks in his final five games. Still, the Patriots went 4-1 in those games anyway. And the fact that Brady had the bye week to mend his multitude of injuries could be a nice boost for him come Saturday.
