On Tuesday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Scott Zolak said he would not be shocked if Mac Jones gets dealt to the Raiders this offseason

• Wouldn't shock him...

  Scott Zolak: Josh (McDaniels) got the best that he could out of Mac (Jones) a year ago as a rookie and you saw him get better. We witnessed it. I witnessed it. I’m not stupid. I know football. I saw the progression. And whatever happened this year hurt Mac. And for whatever reason, Mac wasn’t all in. You don’t think Bill sees the gestures. You know, to his friend, his confidant, his coordinator. You don’t think there’s more of it that goes on behind the scenes or in practices? I think they liked Mac. I do. I think they like Mac because he’s a football guy and he’s smart. If Bill’s looking at it and I brought it up earlier, we gotta make the big decision on the quarterback next year. I’ve been with him for two years. I’m not sold at that money yet. Jesus Christmas, He wasn’t sold on the best to ever play the position of paying him $25 million. You weren’t sold on paying Tom Brady. You think he’s going to go above the pay grade of what Tom Brady got? So maybe he could be setting it up for the next one. Yeah. I’ll pick up the phone. I respect Josh (McDaniels). They have a great relationship does Bill and Josh. Bill liked Jimmy (Garoppolo) and put him in a good spot. Bill likes this kid and if you think Josh is a good kid and he’s really not going to be his quarterback, then why not entertain it If he wants to move in a different direction? I don’t know that. When I see that, I didn’t scoff at it or laugh at it when, you know, (Mike) Florio had this. I mean, if he would go anywhere, you’d entertain anything that would make sense to me because the guy already worked with him. Josh is in his young stages there. Does Josh really want to go all in one year with Tom Brady or bring a guy like a Stidham and him. Josh showed you with Stidham I can coach guys and get guys ready to play here.

  Marc Bertrand: Just to summarize this, you could envision Mac Jones being traded to the Raiders this offseason?

  Scott Zolak: It wouldn’t shock me.
