Zolak & Bertrand

On Tuesday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Beetle made it clear nothing changed for the Patriots after beating the Cardinals.

  • The same issues still exist

Marc Bertrand: Nothing’s changed. And so going forward, my opinion of them is going to be the same. They’re going to beat up on bad, stupid teams like the Cardinals, who oh by the way, had their quarterback get hurt and changed this game in a significant way. That was lucky break number one. Another lucky break was, as you just mentioned, the star wide receiver decided to hold the football with one hand away from his body. That was brilliant. A diva wide receiver doing diva wide receiver things. Oops, I dropped the ball. I don’t even think Kyle Dugger knocked it out. I mean, good job by him to be there. He may have knocked it out, had DeAndre Hopkins not just dropped it for him. The offense still looks dysfunctional. They nearly blew a two minute situation again. Thank God Mac Jones fell on that fumble and was able to give them a field goal there and they had multiple treacherous three and outs in this game. Littered throughout the game with sideways passes and dumb penalties and nothing has changed. And if it weren’t for an injured quarterback and a stupid receiver dropping the football for them last night, it may have looked different, but this is how it’s going to go. They’re going to beat on the bad teams. They’re going to lose to the good ones, which puts them in a bad spot at the end of these next four games.
