On Wednesday’s edition Zolak & Bertrand, Celtics Head Coach Joe Mazzulla called in and admitted he should’ve called a timeout on the team’s final possession.

  • I should've been ready...

Hardy: Joe (Mazzulla), I know you were asked about the timeout last night and why you didn’t call one and you said it was a mistake; I should have called one. I’ll let you respond first, but then I have a I’ve got a follow up.

Joe Mazzulla: Well, in those situations, with 20 some odd seconds left, you want to try to play fast and I thought we had a chance at two really good looks and two really good shooters with Derek (White) and Grant (Williams) and so it’s hard to, in that moment, kind of shift gears. So I wish we would have, you know, just been comfortable taking either one of those two shots to begin with. But once that window hits, you got to be ready to call one. So I think, you know, that’s kind of how the last 20 seconds were managed. You know, after those first two shots I should’ve been ready to call one.
