On Tuesday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Beetle dove into the biggest difference between Bill Belichick and Andy Reid.

  Marc Bertrand: The way Patrick Mahomes will learn under Andy Reid is different from the way that Tom Brady learned under Bill Belichick. The way that Tom Brady processes the game and learned under Bill is how do I play to beat what the defense is going to throw at me. Bill has always taught from a defensive perspective. Tom Brady learned as a quarterback probably more about the defenses he would be facing and that’s why he eventually got to that interview with Peter King and said, I have all the answers now. After all these years of playing this game, after all these years of studying defenses, I’ve got all the answers to the test. I know how to beat everything that a defense will throw at me. Whereas I think with Andy Reid, it’s less about the defense and more about us. We’re going to design this because it’s going to work. We’re going to design this because no one’s seen it before. We’re going to do it this way because we’re just so damn good, right? It’s more about themselves than maybe it is about the other team.
