Zolak & Bertrand

On Monday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Beetle made it clear that Mac Jones could’ve led the Eagles to the Super Bowl this season.

  • Mac Jones could do the exact same thing...

Marc Bertrand: Pose it like this. If Mac Jones was the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, would the Eagles be in the position that they are in right now? I know they lost the Super Bowl last night, but the Eagles got there by winning a whole lot of games.

Scott Zolak: I can see them winning their division with Mac Jones.

Marc Bertrand: I could see them being in the exact same spot they were in last night with Mac Jones.

Scott Zolak: Because you have to give him the team. Give him those receivers, give him those running backs, give him that offensive line. Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce. My God.

Marc Bertrand: What quarterback can’t make that work?

Scott Zolak: Well, the RPO stuff would be different. He wouldn’t rush him as much as they run Hurts. I mean, so you sort of take the option away.

    Marc Bertrand: Understood.

Scott Zolak: But you still sort of run the type of offense. I mean, Nick Foles ran it.

Marc Bertrand: Did you hear what Travis Kelce said last night about (Dallas) Goedert?

    Scott Zolak: What’d he say?

Marc Bertrand: Said they gotta use that guy more. He goes, he’s awesome. I would agree. They’ve got two number one receivers and a good tight end. Mac Jones couldn’t work with that? Course he could.
