It’s national pizza day!!! I’m sure pizza parlors across the area were flooded with orders for the finest pies.  The Roni Rumble is a bracket style tournament were you can vote on who has the best pizza in the Massachusetts area. There were seventy six pizza places to start the tournament but only one can be crowned Roni Rumble Champion. 12 restaurants battled it out in a randomly picked play in tournament to decide who moves on to the field of 64. Voters came out in storms to support their favorite place but only one from each division could move on.

Hogan Division - Lynwood

Red Rose – Springfield, MA

Pizza Project– Brighton, MA

Lynwood– Randolph, MA

Next Page-  Weymouth, MA

Flair Division

Turnpike Market– Billerica, MA

Slice– Wakefield, MA

Ducali– Boston, MA

Lala’s– Boston, MA

Savage Division

Riverview– Ipswich, MA

Brown Jug– Chelsea, MA

Rhea– Gloucester, MA

Superdough-Newton, MA

Warrior Division

Area Four– Cambridge, MA

I <3 Frankies– Worcester, MA

City Slicker– Somerville, MA

Regina– Boston

Where to vote: @wesaygravy IG Story, @wesaygravy FB page, @joemurr X page.
The biggest surprise is Regina is out of the tournament and passed by Warrior division winner I <3 Frankie's.  Over 17,00 people voted and most of them came from Facebook to put he Worcester pizza shop in the big dance. The Flair division saw Lala's get the vote over Turnpike Market to advance. Lynwood dominated the Hogan bracket that saw over ten thousand votes while Rhea of Gloucester will represent the north shore in the tournament.
Will Square Deli of Everett be the first to repeat as Roni Rumble champions? Does a bar pizza spot have enough townies online to get them to the final ? Is the Joanie’s hype real? Is this finally the breakout year for Detroit-Style pizza in Massachusetts? Is the NY pizza fanbase lightyears above Massachusetts?
The Field of 64 is set, the first round will begin on February 29th 2024.
