Thursday night football features two backup quarterbacks in prime time. I'm surprised this game did not get flexed as the Chiefs game did on Monday Night Football. The Patriots will have Bailey Zappe under center when they travel to Pittsburgh at 2-10. The Steelers will have Mitch Trubisky as the signal caller. He finished 11-for-17 for 117 yards and one TD with no interceptions against Arizona.

The Steelers are 7-5 and still hold a playoff spot in the AFC. They will face a challenge with New England's defense that's allowed just 26 points over the last three weeks and held the Chargers to just 29 rushing yards last week in a 6-0 loss. The Pittsburgh defense did allow Arizona to go 3-for-3 in the red zone last week in the rain and gave up a season-high 10 third downs including conversions of 21, 19, 17, and 15 yards. The Steelers are already without LB Kwon Alexander and his backup, Elandon Roberts, also exited last week.

Patriots at Steelers (-6): O/U 30.0

The total for the game currently sits at 30 points and in the history of DraftKings, this is the lowest NFL total ever! 80% of the money is on the under for this game. The Pittsburgh team total for points is 18.5 while scoring 16 points or fewer in three straight games.

(Disclosure: I am a compensated endorser of DraftKings.)

Mike Tomlin has been outstanding coming off losses of 10 or more points in his career, but Pittsburgh is 0-9 ATS when laying -3 or more points over the last nine instances. Both New England and Pittsburgh have reached the red zone or scored points on 19% and 22% of their drives, ranking 32nd and 29th, plus their 12 games combined for 33.5 and 35.1 points per game this season, both the lowest in the NFL per NBC Sports
