Patriots have 10 players listed on injury report ahead of Germany trip
On Wednesday, the New England Patriots began an unusual week of preparation as they get ready to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. In addition to their three typical days of practice, the team also has to accommodate a trip to Germany in the middle as they get ready for their first international series game in over a decade.
To start the week of practice, the Patriots have 10 players listed on the initial injury report. Of those 10 two missed practice all together – tackle Trent Brown (not injury replated/personal, ankle) and cornerback J.C. Jackson (not injury related/personal).

Neither absence comes as a major surprise. Brown missed last week’s game due to that ankle injury, although his personal issue is unknown. Meanwhile, it was reported earlier in the day on Wednesday that Jackson is away from the team due to a disciplinary issue.
Of the eight players who were limited on Wednesday, only rookie wide receiver Demario Douglas (ankle) is a new addition to the report from last week. Wide receiver DeVante Parker (concussion), who did not practice at all last week, was limited but wearing a red non-contact jersey.
The other limited Patriots were offensive lineman Vederian Lowe (ankle), defensive linemen Christian Barmore (knee) and Deatrich Wise (shoulder), linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley (hamstring), and cornerbacks Myles Bryant (chest) and Jonathan Jones (knee).
Three players were also removed from the injury report from last week. Wide receiver Tyquan Thornton, defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, and linebacker Josh Uche are no longer listed. Thornton’s status is notable as he didn’t play the final two and a half quarters on Sunday. Based on the injury report, that lack of playing time was not health-related.
For the Colts, only six players are listed on the full report. Four of those players were non-participants, including star rookie wide receiver Josh Downs (knee).
The Patriots will hold one more practice at Gillette Stadium this week on Thursday. They’ll then travel to Germany on Thursday night, and have their final practice of the week on Friday. The Colts are following a similar schedule.
