Boston Celtics Serve Up the Most Expensive Beer in the NBA – let’s compare!
There’s nothing like taking in a game in New England. Our fandom is pretty legendary. But that fandom comes with a price… and that price is pretty high… at the beer counter. Celtics beers are the most expensive beers. Wait, huh?
Bookies.com gathered beer prices from around the NBA for one 16 ounce beer at every NBA arena. And in the end it was determined that a 16 ounce beer costs the most at TD Garden while watching the Boston Celtics.
The cheapest beer in the NBA can be found at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. A 16 ounce brewski will set you back just $5.78 there. That’s home of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who made the playoffs last season for the first time since 2018. Cheapie celebratory beers!
Now for the bad news. While a 16 ounce beer watching the Cavs at home will cost you UNDER 6 bucks, the same can’t be said for us in Boston. If you should decide to have a nice cold one while taking in a Celtics game at the Garden it’ll set you back $19.87!!! $19.87?!? Cavs fans are getting crazy loose with 3 16 ouncers for the price of one of ours! Ouch! It is THE most expensive beer in the NBA, not surprisingly.
Other expensive basketball beers: Golden State Warriors’ beers are $19.01 (second most expensive) and a beer while watching the New York Knicks at home costs $16.93 which is third most expensive in the NBA.
On the cheaper side, when you go see the Thunder at home a beer only costs $6.69 (2nd cheapest). The Hawks and the Pistons tie for 3rd cheapest beers. A 16 ounce beer at both home courts will cost you $7.39.
$19.87 for a Celtics beer?! I’m glad I quit drinking a few years ago. Next let’s look at water prices! Wait… I’m sure it’d throw me into another money tizzy so nevermind. Go Celtics!!!
