Bring Your Family To This Free Fall Festival In Carver, MA

Child’s Play Alpaca in Carver is putting on a free fall festival and they want you to bring your entire family!

Child’s Play Alpaca farm is opening their farm to the community for this special event on October 21st from 10am-3pm. Location is 14 Cross St, Carver, MA. Children and adults can meet all of the farm’s animals and spend some time outdoors. You won’t leave disappointed because there are dozens of animals that permanently live on their property in Carver.

What Will You See At This Festival?

You’ll see over twenty alpacas! If you’ve never seen an alpaca in person, this is a perfect opportunity. Not only are they cute, but their fur is so fluffy!! In addition to the alpacas, they will have Pygora goats, and even San Clemente Island goats, which happen to be an endangered breed. They have one donkey on site, one cow, multiple pigs, chickens and ducks. Truthfully, it’s a great place to bring your kids to if they’ve never seen farm animals in real life. Animal treats will be available for purchase to feed the animals with.

And the best part for parents, is that this is a free event! There will be forty vendors selling all sort of handmade items. Sarcastic Swine BBQ will be serving up delicious lunch options, and Brewery 44 will be set up with a beer garden! Z-n-Z slushies will be serving up candy topped Italian ice.

Meet The Owners Of Child’s Play Alpaca Farm

Josh and Loretta are both US Army veterans and first generation farmers. Josh is a Senior IT consultant and Loretta was a special education teacher. They have four kids, who will be participating in all of the activities that day. Scarlett (16) will be doing free face painting, Silas (12) will be assisting with parking, and Sebastian (7) and Sansa (4) ensure the bounce house stays bouncy and Sebastian will be happy to show you which vendors have the coolest kid stuff.
Josh and Loretta felt like they spent too much time in front of screens and sedentary and they wanted to spend more time doing something they could be proud of. Teaching their kids the kind of lessons you can’t learn in a classroom was important to them. The couple wanted their kids to learn that there is a balance between working and having fun. It was also important to teach their children what it means to raise and care for something beyond themselves.
Lastly, they wanted them to truly understand that it takes work and dedication to get the food from a farm to a grocery store shelf.
