Patriots activate linebacker off PUP list ahead of training camp
Last week, the Patriots placed five players on the PUP list as part of getting their roster set for training camp. For linebacker Raekwon McMillan, it was a short stay on the list.
The team activated McMillan on Monday, two days before the first practice of camp. According to #Patriots LB Raekwon McMillan has been activated off the PUP list after passing his physical.
That leaves James White, David Andrews, Jabrill Peppers and Jonathan Jones on PUP.
McMillan was signed by the Patriots as a free agent last spring, but after a strong start to camp tore his ACL and missed the entire season. Now fully healthy, McMillan figures to be a factor for the Patriots’ defense this year in a rotational middle linebacker role.
Running back James White, center David Andrews, cornerback Jonathan Jones, and safety Jabrill Peppers are the four players remaining on PUP. White, Jones, and Peppers are coming off season-ending injuries suffered last fall, while Andrews had offseason shoulder surgery.
