Patriots announce times for first training camp practices, additional dates
It’s starting to feel really real – the return of football is right around the corner. On Thursday, the Patriots announced the start times for their initial training camp practices which begin next week, as well as additional dates for future practices.
Training camp practices will begin Wednesday July 27 (although some players including the rookies reported on the 21st). The first group of practices will run through Saturday July 30. Those practices, as is the case with all training camp practices, will be open and free to the public. Those practices will start at 9:30 a.m. at Gillette Stadium, with gates opening at 8:00.
After a day off on Sunday, the team will return to the practice field Monday Aug. 1, with that block scheduled through the 4th right now. Those practices will also start at 9:30 with gates opening at 8:00.
The Patriots also have two joint practices later in camp with the Carolina Panthers. Those will be on Aug. 16 and 17. Times for those practices haven’t been announced yet.
