Mac Jones and Brian Hoyer are among the first non-rookies to report to Patriots training camp on Thursday, as reported by Mike Reiss of ESPN.
Along with the quarterbacks are the “rehabbing players,” which likely includes running back James White. White’s 2021 season ended in against the New Orleans Saints in week 3 with a hip injury, and appears to still be working his way back from it.
Slot cornerback Jonathan Jones is returning from off-season shoulder surgery, but was a full participant in minicamp during the spring. Linebackers Cameron McGrone and Raekwon McMillan, meanwhile, both suffered torn ACLs prior to the 2021 season. It’s unclear who is among the rehabbing players who reported to camp on Thursday.
Rookies first reported to camp last Tuesday, and the rest of the veterans need to report by next Tuesday. The first official day of 2022 training camp is set for next Wednesday, July 27.
