The Tacko Fall era in Boston has come to a close. On Tuesday the 7-foot-5 center began the next stage of his career, signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Fall’s new deal is a one-year, non-guaranteed contract according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The potential financial side of the deal has not been released.

In two seasons with the Celtics, Fall played in 26 games averaging 2.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 6.5 minutes per contest. He originally joined the team as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2019-2020 season.

With Fall now in Cleveland, the Celtics’ backcourt consists of Robert Williams, Al Horford, Enes Kanter, Grant Williams, Jabari Parker, Bruno Fernando, plus Sam Hauser on a two-way contract. Kanter is the Celtics tallest player listed at 6-foot-10.
