Kevin Pillar immediately does what he does best in Red Sox debut (Video)

It didn’t take very long for Kevin Pillar to make his presence felt as the Red Sox’ new right fielder.
The former Blue Jays outfielder won’t replace everything Mookie Betts brought to the table, but he will most certainly bring Gold Glove-caliber defense to one of the toughest right field corners in baseball. And the Orioles put him to the test right away.
Watch above to see Pillar do what he does best. Orioles leadoff hitter Austin Hays took Eovaldi to the warning track in right-center in his first at-bat of the season, but Pillar tracked the ball down and leaped near the wall to make his first highlight catch as a member of the Red Sox.

One thing is for certain with the 2020 Red Sox: as long as Pillar, Jackie Bradley Jr., and Andrew Benintendi are manning the outfield, it’s going to be hard for opposing hitters to get the ball past them. The first Pillar catch of the season is some strong evidence.
The Red Sox and Orioles were tied 0-0 after two innings.
