#NationalPetDay: Boston Athletes Share Photos With Their Furry Friends
Today, Wednesday, April 11 is “National Pet Day” and a handful of our favorite Boston athletes took to Instagram to share their love for their four-legged friends.
First up we have Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi hanging out with his furry friend, while rocking a Gordon Hayward jersey. And he even gave Hayward a shoutout in his caption.

Next up is starting Red Sox pitcher David Price with the famous ‘Astro.’
Everyone has heard of Astro, right? Because Price just loves to talk about Astro.
Before moving on, can we get a wellness check on Big Jim Murray after seeing that one?
Okay, lets continue.
Up next we have New England Revolution defender, Andrew Farrell’s meaty friend named Rufus. And guess what? Rufus even has his own Instagram page!
Revolution goalie Cody Cropper shares a picture of his smiling buddy from the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, MA.
And here’s another from Cropper and his homie at Wollaston Beach in Quincy, MA. Check out the caption too cause you might want to borrow it for your own post.
Revolution midfielder Zachary Herivaux shares a picture with the newest member of his family. Everyone say hi to Emi! – “Hi Emi!”
And lastly, Revolution standout Diego Fagundez shares a ton pictures of his dogs, so here’s just a taste of what you can expect. But you can check out more pictures of all of his other furry friends on his Instagram.

Shoutout to everyone’s pet today, whether you’re a dog, cat, snake, bunny or whoever you may be. It’s #NationalPetDay, so you should be celebrated! Make sure you give your little or not so little buddies some extra attention today, but more importantly, make sure you hook them up with extra treats. Okay? – Cool. Now go have some fun!
