Bruins winger Brad Marchand exited Thursday night’s game with a minute left to go in the second period. Marchand apparently suffered a lower-body injury.

On Friday’s Toucher & Rich program, Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery called in to say Marchand is healing quickly.

  • Rich: So last night was an absolute ass-kicking. The team looks great! They’re steamrolling! But there was, of course, the unfortunate moment when Brad Marchand left the game Thursday night. What do you know about Brad? How’s he doing right now?

Jim Montgomery: Yeah, Brad was feeling pretty good after the game. It was precautionary that he didn’t go back and play. So, now, we’re expecting him to be available to play tomorrow against the New York Rangers.

  • Wallach: Oh, that’s really good news.

Fred: Alright, we’re making the newspaper today! It looks like this interview is getting picked up. At least five people have to be listening now!
