Massachusetts: Where To Find The Best Garlic Knots Around
Foodies who love Garlic Knots will frequent a local establishment just for this tasty appetizer. Fresh out of the oven, there’s just happiness that comes from gently pulling that dough apart and biting into this warm explosion of flavor. In Massachusetts, there are two restaurants in particular that I find cook up a spectacular serving of Garlic Knots. Furthermore, their variations are very different from each other.
What this proves is that there is a certainly creativity allowed with what spin a chef puts on their creation. Standard elements include a light dose of butter incorporated into the cooking. Then, the garlic ratio must take center stage. A sprinkle of parmesan cheese and rosemary or basil also adds to the look, feel, and taste. Adding your touch to the design of the knot also helps the memorable experience.
Let’s look at two Massachusetts establishments that have mastered the art of Garlic Knots.
CP’s Pizza In Scituate
This place just has the look of being a kitchen that is home to all-star knots. CP’s a small shack-style building that sits wedged into the side of a rocky road. In fact, the address is 17 New “Driftway.”It is takeout only, as the place only has room for an ordering window and a kitchen laid out right before you. Its Neapolitan-style pizza is what most customers visit for. However, delivered piping hot in a tin dish, the garlic knots are rolled into a shape that almost resembles mini croissants. They use the same fresh dough that the pizza is made on. They pull apart in a way that preserves the crunchy top, but allows for a soft chewy middle to be dunked into the side or marinara. If you don’t specify otherwise, these knots will also come stuffed with their fresh mozzarella inside.
The Venetian In Weymouth
Located at 909 Broad Street, the Venetian is a family-welcoming, authentic Italian restaurant. The difference with their garlic knots is that they are the size of grapefruits. They are cooked using the same ingredients that their chefs use to make the fresh bread. In addition, these knots are coated with fresh extra virgin olive oil. This allows for a perfect accent of garlic and reggiano to be sprinkled on top. With the look of fried dough but a taste that has everything you love about a garlic knot.
