Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum let a pro photographer capture them working out together

Amid all the Kevin Durant trade rumors, he and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum were photographed training together in Los Angeles, via @bredhampton on Instagram.

Sam Amick of The Athletic reported that the Celtics are the “unofficial frontrunners” in the Durant trade market, with a deal centered around Jaylen Brown. This came right days after Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Durant gave Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai an ultimatum of trading him or firing head coach Steve Nash and general manager Sean Marks.

A rumored Boston trade package for Durant includes Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, draft picks and potentially more. But Ian Begley of SNYtv reported that Durant “sees Boston as a desired landing spot” and “would like to play with Boston’s Marcus Smart if he is traded to the Celtics.”

However, the Celtics “are not close to a deal that would bring Kevin Durant to Boston,” according to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.

  • As the Celtics get ready for the 2022-2023 NBA season, there’s still plenty of talk about the way their season ended last year – a six game defeat in the NBA Finals at the hands of the Golden State Warriors. It turns out, they won’t have to wait long to get their rematch.

    Monday night, Shams Charania of The Athletic shared the two dates for the Celtics-Warriors matchups this year. Their first meeting will come on December 10 in Golden State. The teams will then meet again in Boston on January 19.

  • Also announced via Charania Monday night was the Celtics’ season opener. They’ll get things started at TD Garden against the Philadelphia 76ers on October 18.

    This makes four games of the Celtics’ 2022-2023 schedule that have now been leaked. On Sunday night, it was reported that the Celtics will host the Milwaukee Bucks for a Christmas Day game.

    The full NBA schedule isn’t expected to be released until next week. Until then, keep checking 985TheSportsHub.com for updates.
