The Patriots are coming off a disappointing loss to the Houston Texans and their hopes for the playoffs are only mathematically alive now. Matt Dolloff and Alex Barth break down the loss and what went wrong for both the offense and the defense in the newest Patriots podcast for 985TheSportsHub.com.

But the page has to turn quickly now, especially for Cam Newton and the Patriots offense. Despite making positive steps in the passing game against the Texans, Newton’s problems with recognizing blitzes and setting protections spelled doom for him and the unit. He needs to correct those issues quickly, because the Arizona Cardinals also like to blitz in a variety of ways.

Plus: can the Patriots defense bounce back against Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray? The second-year pro is having an excellent season, but faces his first challenge against Bill Belichick’s defense in Foxboro. Matt and Alex assess how confident they are that Belichick can get the best of the dynamic Murray and the high-powered Arizona offense.
