Tac(k)o Tuesdays are here to stay, as the Boston Celtics and fan favorite center Tacko Fall have agreed to terms on a new two-way deal, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
With the Celtics on a two-way deal last season after a strong Summer League effort, Fall appeared in seven games for the Celtics this past season, averaging 3.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks in 4:39 of action per night. The 7-foot-5 Fall also made an appearance during the Celtics’ first-round series against the 76ers, and put up three points and collected rebound in 2:49 of play.
When not with Boston, Fall was a force the G League, averaging a double-double (12.9 points, 11.1 rebounds per game) in 29 games played with the Maine Red Claws. Fall also racked up a staggering 85 blocks (third-most in the G League).
That run earned Fall a nod on the 2019-20 NBA G League All-Defensive Team.
Players can spend up to three years on a two-way contract.
