After picking up a receiver before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, the Patriots are adding another to their locker room.

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the team is signing Donte Moncrief to their practice squad. Moncrief reportedly had a workout with the Patriots on Saturday.

The 27-year-old Moncrief was a third-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2014. He’s also played for the Jaguars, Panthers, and Steelers over his six year career. In that time, he’s caught 204 passes for 2,561 yards and 21 touchdowns. Moncrief hasn’t been on an active roster in 2020, although he spent some time on the Jets practice squad early in the season.

Moncrief becomes the Patriots’ fourth practice squad receiver, joining Isaiah Zuber, Mason Kinsey, and Kristian Wilkerson. The Patriots’ played last week without their top two receivers – Julian Edelman is on IR with a knee injury, and N’Keal Harry is making his way back from a concussion.
