Four Patriots questionable for Sunday

While their COVID issues continue to be the main story, the Patriots have a handful of other key players who could be limited this Sunday against the Broncos.
Four players were listed on Friday’s injury report. Julian Edelman (knee), Shaq Mason (calf), Isaiah Wynn (calf), and Adam Butler (shoulder) are all questionable for Sunday.
Mason and Wynn are particularly concerning, given the loss of center James Ferentz on Friday. Ferentz had been starting in place of David Andrews, who is on IR with a thumb injury. Mason missed the Patriots’ last game against Kansas City, while Wynn played but showed periods of discomfort throughout.
Meanwhile defensive end Deatrich Wise, who missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a “not injury related” designation was removed from the report entirely on Friday.
As for the Broncos, they’ve already ruled out wide receiver KJ Hamler (hamstring) and linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu (quad). They also have four key players listed as questionable – quarterback Drew Lock (throwing shoulder), tight end Noah Fant (ankle), nose tackle Mike Purcell (knee), and running back Melvin Gordon (not injury related), who was arrested Tuesday night for DUI then sent home from practice on Friday after feeling sick.
