Six Patriots players absent from Tuesday’s training camp practice

The Patriots hit the practice fields Tuesday without six of the players on their roster.
Five of those names, Anfernee Jennings, Jeff Thomas, Beau Allen, Lamar Miller, and Sony Michel were all absent yesterday as well. Fourth-year defensive end Tashawn Bower was also not spotted after practicing yesterday.
Miller and Michel are both on the PUP list and are not eligible to practice, which may explain their absences. No official word has been given on the status of the other four players.

Bower, who was added to the group today, spent his first three years in the league in Minnesota, before tearing his Achilles last summer. He was cut early on in the season by the Vikings, and was signed to the Patriots practice squad towards the end of the year. Given all the roster turnover the team had on the edge this offseason, he is expected to compete for a rotational spot.
