Revolution’s Matt Turner named to MLS Team of the Week

They say there’s nothing better than going into the playoffs with a hot goaltender. Saturday night, the New England Revolution will do just that.

Turner led the Revs to a 1-0-2 record in the stage, which included shutouts of the Montreal Impact and Toronto FC. The 26-year-old stopped 11 of the 12 shots he saw in the three games.
Speaking with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Zolak and Bertrand on Friday, Revolution head coach Bruce Arena said he believes Turner and Philadelphia Union goaltender Andre Blake the two best at the position in the tournament’s first round.
It just so happens those two will face each other in the first knockout round, Saturday night at 10:30.
