Celtics forward Marcus Morris to miss tonight’s game vs. Bulls
The Boston Celtics will have to handle the Chicago Bulls tonight at TD Garden without forward Marcus Morris, whose downgrade to ‘out’ comes due to an apparent illness, the team announced Wednesday.
Morris has been Boston’s most effective player off the bench this year, with a team-high 25.7 minutes and 14.8 points per game while coming off the bench, and with a ridiculous 48.4 three-point percentage in that role.
The 29-year-old Morris has also scored at least 15 points in seven of the last Celtic games, and has helped alleviate some of the scoring pressure on a Boston lineup that’s rarely played up to their standards out of the gate this season.
“We’re better with Marcus (Morris). There’s no question about that,” says Brad Stevens. “We want him back ASAP.”

Fortunately for the Celtics, the Bulls come into tonight’s game with the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference, at 4-10.
