When you play golf here in New England you’re always ready for beef with a goose, but it barely happens and when it does, it’s rarely ever documented until now.
During a recent juniors match a poor high school golfer was attacked by a goose on a local golf course in the Blissfield, Michigan area.
You heard it right. A GOOSE!
Like a goose is on the loose.
According to the Blissfield Athletics Twitter account and Golf Digest, “The golfers just finished teeing off and were walking down the fairway. To the left there was a goose nest and the golfers did a good job of avoiding it but the guard goose [hanging out on the far right] thought differently.”

You can’t help but feel bad for kid after seeing this. He didn’t stand a chance, especially when he’s trying to evade the goose with a loaded golf bag on his back.
Hindsight is 20-20, but why didn’t he just ditch the bag to make a better getaway? Or pull out his nine iron in self-defense?
So the next time you hit your local course and see these mongrels, stay alert and be aware. They can attack at anytime!
