Donnie Wahlberg Intends To Kick His Brother Mark Out Of The Super Bowl At Halftime
A good chunk of New England gave actor Mark Wahlberg grief when it was discovered that he left Super Bowl LI early, before the Patriots made their historic comeback.
We can count his brother Donnie Wahlberg among them.
Donnie and wife, Jenny McCarthy joined 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak and Marc Bertrand on Radio Row at the Super Bowl Friday afternoon.
“We’re going to the game and we’re waiting to see if my brother’s coming,” Donnie said. “We have a car waiting for him at halftime to get him the hell out of there.”
Bertrand reminded Donnie that Mark left last year’s championship game because of issues with his kids, according to an interview back in December.
“Well it’s Super Bowl time, I better release another statement about that,” Donnie quipped.
“He wisely won’t bring the kids this year,” Donnie continued. “But we still have a car waiting for him at halftime to get him the hell out the door.”
Donnie clarified that the car wasn’t because Mark would want to leave early, but because typical New England superstition dictates it.
“I don’t care if we’re up 58-0 at halftime,” he said. “You gotta go, Mark.”
